Systems AdministratorBaltimore’s budget office is currently recruiting for Systems Administrator. Reporting to the Deputy Budget Director, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing transition to a new budgeting system, Workday Adaptive, as part of the final phases of a broader ERP implementation and transition to Workday.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field. 
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive Planning, specifically data modeling and maintenance.
  • Skilled coding in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Java.
  • Experience with project management.

 

About the Bureau of Budget & Management Research

We are looking for team members with an interest in urban policy, strong communication skills, and intense curiosity. Although our primary mission is to develop the City’s annual operating budget, BBMR also spearheads a series of innovative initiatives that have strengthened the City’s fiscal condition and led to better results for Baltimore’s residents.  Analysts selected to join our team will have the opportunity to participate in some of these exciting initiatives, including:

Outcome Budgeting: Baltimore is regarded as the national leader in Budgeting for Outcomes. We use the Mayor’s Action Plan as the roadmap for how we connect service delivery with the goals and outcomes that matter most to our residents.

Performance and Data: BBMR is an active partner in the City’s efforts around data and performance. The office is currently partnering with the Mayor’s Office to sync up annual agency performance plans with the Outcome Budgeting process.

Management Research: Members of our team have the chance to provide insights and recommendations regarding City services through management research projects. Current projects include: paid family leave and Citywide turnover trends.
