In 2013, the City of Baltimore launched its Lean Government initiative, an initiative aimed at evaluating City processes and building better ones where results and customer service were improved. Lean Government in Baltimore began with three pilot events and momentum quickly grew as the benefits of Lean were seen. The demand for Lean events grew, as did the desire to learn more about Lean and the various ways it could help improve the City.
